“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anias Nin
I have developed and led workshops on psychospiritual healing and growth for groups of 5 to 90 people of all ages, from teenagers to seniors. I find that exploring our journey together can make for some of the most impactful experiences of our lives. I am specifically passionate about working with historically marginalized communities and those facing grief and bereavement.
I launched a new project in October 2018 called Community Inspired Action. CIA is a once-a-month gathering created to promote community around spirituality and activism. Click here for more information.
My approach to workshop facilitation is centered on the belief that we all already have the wisdom we need. Sometimes, we just need some guidance on where to look and it is very helpful to feel we are not alone in the search. I find that the most impactful part of group work is the sharing the participants do with one another, seeing each other into our fullness. As the facilitator, I consider it my job to create a safe and authentic container for the participants, to provide a structure, and to foster opportunities for deep reflection and brave connection. Groups truly have a soul of their own and our vulnerability with one another, our shared humanness, is where the most impactful growth takes place.
