Sliding Scale Fees

"Dominator culture has tried to keep us all afraid...Moving through that fear, finding out what connects us, revelling in our differences; this is the process that brings us closer, that gives us a world of shared values, of meaningful community." -bell hooks
I run my practice using a sliding scale fee system that aims to be consistent with the lived experience of our collective socio-economic reality. I do not accept any insurance. I work closely with each client to determine a fee that makes healing accessible, easeful, and valuable. A conversation to determine your fee is part of my free 20 minute consultations and we may continue exploring it together during counseling sessions as needed.

Below are suggestions for your fee based on income brackets. However, income does not account for all the complexities of personal circumstances, such as whether you are supporting dependents, sending money to family, have loans or debt etc., or -- on the flip side -- if you are able to share your household expenses with another income-earning adult, have access to family resources or significant savings/inheritances, etc. So the brackets are meant to be used as a guide, not a determinative calculation. You may also choose to pay somewhere in between two brackets if that makes the most sense for your budget (ie. $85, $110, etc.)

If you are a couple, I ask that you look at your collective financial situation to make your assessment. If you keep your finances separate, you can each determine what fee you can pay individually and pay those amounts separately.

Keep in mind that people who have less tend to need encouragement to take advantage of support (if this is you, let me take a moment to say, please take advantage of the lower fees!) whereas those who have more tend to need some encouragement to give more.
Please note that anytime you are able to pay higher on the scale, you help make it possible for me to work with more clients who would otherwise not be able to access these services. Wherever you are on the scale, thank you for being a part of a co-creative, human-centered fee scale for healing work!*

  • Income of $25,000 or less** - $30 per session
  • Income between $25,001 - $40,000 - $45 per session
  • Income between $40,001 - $55,000 - $75 per session
  • Income between $55,001 and $65,000 - $100 per session
  • Income between $65,001 and $75,000 - $120 per session
  • Income between $75,001 and $100,000 - $140 per session
  • Income between $100,001 and $150,000 - $185 per session
  • Income between $150,001 and $200,000 - $225 per session
For those with assets at or over $1 million, click here for additional fee brackets.

*Income categories are based on individual incomes. If you are sharing household expenses with another income-earning adult and have the means to do so, you may adjust upward.
**There are times when I may have a limited number of spaces for lower pay brackets. If this is the case, I will let you know this during our initial free 20 minute consultation.

Below is another helpful framework for thinking about where on the scale you may fit.
